I just finished watching the new James Bond movie entitled “Casino Royale”, and I’m left with nothing but pure disappointment!
Yes, the movie itself was action packed, and James Bond was the hero he always is, but still, this is not James Bond!
Bond is about easy going babes, the hero that always has that killer remark. Where are all his crazy toys? Where is Q?
In his last movie, he drove a car that had rocket launchers and could turn itself invisible. In Casino Royale, he drives a fancy
car with a double glove compartment!? And where are the out-of-this-world bandits that make their own in a way that almost, but not quite
turn the entire show into a full-fledged sci-fi experience?
If Casino Royale is an omen of how James Bond is to be from here on, then I cannot but bow my head in grief, as it is but the
end of agent 007 as he was for so many decades of boys turning into men.
