20 Years after

I found immense joy in yesterday’s class reunion with the other kids that I went to elementary school with towards the end of 1987.

Somehow, being with them, even though it has been as much as twenty years, was like switching off time. They all spoke in the same way as they did back then, waved their arms the same, and had the same glimpse in their eyes that I left them with, that last day in 1987. In more than one respect, seeing these friends was like meeting family, almost religious.
The only pity, was a rater weak turnover. Around half of class 9B was missing, two dead, the others unable to attend this time. They were missed, and talked about.

I brought my camera, but didn’t want to spend too much time chasing mugshot portraits. Instead, I simply took a very few portraits of the people that were closest seated to me (the location did not allow for much room to rotate), so I did not get everyone on film, nor any group images. The ones that I did get, In addition to the one Lasse took of me, can be seen here:

Hopefully, it won’t be 20 years until next time!
